I am a SF Bay Area native who has lived in Northern California nearly all my life. I started drawing while a child and continued with art classes in high school but I have not had any formal training. While raising my children and working full time, I did a lot of sewing and handcrafts. I retired from work in 2011 and for the past 5 years I have been creating artisan and handcrafted soaps, experimenting with fragrances, colors and designs. I have recently been inspired to branch out and try other media thanks to my friends at the Concord Art Association and the Raquel Amaral Studio/Art Gallery. My first offering is a watercolor showing the progression of colors of a fall leaf. I have a few more ideas I will be working on. I enjoy the creative process from concept, through evolution, to finished project.
