Had I a perfect life where would I search for inspiration? Had my mother been a different type of woman than she is, would I be who I am today? Had my father not died when I was 3 would I be who I am today?

Do you know you are where you are today because you are suppose to be there. Yes exactly in the muck of your life or the splendor of your life. You are there! How you look at your life is how your life will continue to show itself to you. We all have to go through highs and lows. No one’s life is pretty as a picture.

I need peace and quiet when I’m home. I like a little music playing and candles burning. I need harmony and love between the walls through out my house. Otherwise I am off balance.

It is not a peaceful and quiet home when my son is not sleeping for 6 nights. It is not in harmony when he thinks a handcrafted stuffed bunny I bought from a friend was delivered with radiation in it. I have to get it out of my house in order for this fear to subside. He refuses to eat the food we eat. He refuses to takes his medicine because of the side effects. I love him unconditionally. He is my greatest teacher.

I am inspired. I am peaceful. I am who I am today. I know my life is not perfect. I love my life and I am grateful.

On Children
Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
